Optimization of the snowmaking system

Over the summer, the snowmaking system facilities at Gitschberg and in Jochtal were optimized.

New Fun Ride in Jochtal

The new Gimmy Fun Ride in Jochtal offers banked turns, small jumps, tunnels, and much more starting this season!

New slope at Gitschberg

The winter of 2018/19 brings a new slope to Gitschberg: the intermediate, red-marked slope 23A Wastl Huber. It is an alternative descent to the valley station of the new 10-seater gondola lift Ski-Express.

2013/2014


Ski area expansion with Schwandt ski run

The Gitschberg Jochtal ski area is being further expanded. Starting from the 2013/2014 winter season, Meransen and Vals are connected by the new Schwandt slope.

The Gitschberg Jochtal ski area can now boast a new ski run. Construction of the descent named Schwandt began in mid-October.
The creation of this slope is the final subproject of the investment concept from 2011.

New "Luckner-Schwandt" ski slope in the Jochtal ski resort

The 1,277 m long slope offers an elevation difference of 288 m, an average width of 36 m and is classified as a blue slope.

Connection of the Gitschtal-Jochtal ski resorts

As of the 2011/2012 seasion, the new 8-person Schilling gondola lift (Jochtal) and the Gaisjoch lift (Gitschberg) connect both ski resorts.
