The Geilo ski resort is located in the beautiful Hallingdal valley. It takes just under 4 hours by car from both Bergen and Oslo. The nearest major European highways are relatively far away, so Geilo is reached via scenic roads. The ski area stretches on both sides of the town of Geilo, and most base stations offer ample parking. Most of the parking spaces require a fee. Geilo train station offers regular train connections to various destinations in Norway, including Oslo, Bergen, and other cities.
