No lifts with weather protection covers, RCR Park Access Pass required for the snow parkDescription Fernie
The Fernie Alpine Resort ski area is located about a 5-minute drive and 7 km from the town of Fernie. From the base station, you can take the long detachable Timberbowl Express quad chairlift up to the bowl of the same name. From here, various runs lead down to the White Pass quad chairlift, which takes you just above the tree line. Here, you have the choice of skiing down to the valley via the Currie Bowl or through the Timber and Siberia Bowls. There are runs of all levels of difficulty.
In the valley, a triple chairlift, a quad chairlift, and a platter lift are available, which are especially interesting for beginners. The Terrain Park can be easily reached from the top station of the Deer Chair triple chairlift.
Of course, there is also the other side of the ski area with the Lizard Bowl and the Cedar Bowl. These bowls can be accessed via the Elk Quad quad chairlift, which also starts from the base station, and the detachable Great Bear Express quad chairlift. From here, you can head left or right into either of the two bowls. From the Lizard Bowl, you can ski directly back down to the valley, but if you choose the much more interesting Cedar Bowl, you can use the Haul Back T-bar lift to return.
However, to get back to the town, you need to take the Boomerang triple chairlift uphill. From the top station of this lift, you can also enter the Cedar Bowl a little further down or ski directly to the valley. At the end of a ski day, you can enjoy après-ski in the Day Lodge or relax in the hot whirlpool.
