Fernie Alpine Resort is located about 7 km from Fernie. The ski area is situated in the south of the province of Alberta, approximately 60 km from the American border. The Crowsnest Highway No. 3 runs directly through Fernie. From Calgary, the ski area can be reached in 3 to 3.5 hours.
