No difficult slopes, hardly any après-skiDescription Feldthurns (Velturno)
About 1,400 meters below the 2,436-meter-high Königsanger lies the small ski area of Feldthurns, located above the village. A platter lift approximately 400 meters long provides access to 1.5 km of slopes with an elevation difference of 115 meters. Right next to the platter lift, an intermediate run leads down to the valley station, where club races are often held. The slope is also excellent for practicing. If you turn left at the top, you can glide down to the valley on an easy slope. At the valley station, you'll find the cozy Maders ski hut with a sun terrace. From the slopes, you have a magnificent view of the Eisack Valley and the Dolomites. In the morning, the entire ski area is bathed in sunlight, while in the afternoon it lies in the shade, so the snow remains good for skiing even in the afternoon despite the low altitude, and if there isn’t enough natural snowfall, two snow cannons provide support. The ski area is especially suitable for families and ski courses.
