The evaluation is done as follows
Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Espace San Bernardo – La Rosière/La Thuile
The Italian side, La Thuile, offers a variety of challenging slopes and open terrain for advanced and expert skiers. Most of the valley runs down to La Thuile are demanding forest descents. You’ll also find difficult slopes at Mont Belvedere. Above the tree line, there are numerous freeride and off-piste areas to explore. The French side, La Rosière, offers fewer difficult slopes, but at Mont-Valaisan you’ll find a very attractive freeride area. In addition, Roc Noir and Fort de la Redoute offer a wide selection of powder slopes. The Espace San Bernardo ski area is therefore very well suited for advanced skiers.
- very many freeride/deep snow areas
- many mogul slopes
