1/11 Ski lifts/ropeways Chäserrugg – Unterwasser/Alt St. Johann (Toggenburg)
From the villages of Unterwasser (910 m) and Alt St. Johann (900 m), a funicular and a combination lift (gondola and chairlift) take you into the Toggenburg ski area. Within the ski area, there are additional fast, detachable lifts as well as numerous drag lifts. The popular Chäserrugg (2262 m) can be reached by a cable car with limited capacity. Since the 2015/16 season, the summit can also be accessed via the new 10-seater gondola lift from Espel via Stöfeli, followed by a drag lift. Once at the top, you are rewarded with an incomparable view.
