1/13 König Laurin 2
The modern 10-seater gondola lift König Laurin 2 in the Carezza ski area runs from the mid-station up to the Kölner Hütte. The first section leads from the Frommer Alm to the mid-station at an altitude of 2,000 m. The two new gondola lifts replace two chairlifts, the 3-seater chairlift Monte Coronelle and the 2-seater chairlift König Laurin.
The absolute highlight is that the mountain station was built underground and is thus "invisible," hidden inside the mountain. Only the entry and exit tunnels, through which the cabins enter and leave the underground station, as well as the access tunnel for hikers and skiers, are visible as they are cut into the slope. From here, skiers can ride directly onto the ski slope. The mountain station was designed and realized by the renowned architect Werner Tscholl – Italy's Architect of the Year 2016.
