Thanks to the new Tiers cable car, you can now experience the high plateau beneath the Rosengarten without a car. South Tyrol's unique convertible cable car offers a new connection from St. Zyprian in the municipality of Tiers to the Frommeralm in the Carezza ski area. This eliminates the need to drive over the Niger Pass to reach the Carezza ski area. There is no ski run leading to the valley station, so you float back down to the valley station by cable car.
The renowned South Tyrolean architect Werner Tscholl has gently integrated the valley and mountain stations into the fascinating landscape beneath the Rosengarten. The stations disappear underground in the meadows, with only the entrances and exits remaining visible. The mountain station is located at the Frommer Alm.
