The Borovets ski resort is located in the Rila Mountains, about 70 km southeast of Sofia. The journey from Sofia takes a little over an hour. Borovets is about 45 minutes from the A2 and A3 highways. Other distances: Thessaloniki 3.5 hours, Skopje 3.5 hours, Belgrade 5.5 hours, Istanbul 6 hours, and Bucharest 6.5 hours.
There are parking lots at all entry points, which are usually subject to a fee.
