Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Bellwald

Visitors to Bellwald are strongly encouraged to use public transport. A cable car runs directly to Bellwald from Fürgangen train station. Skiing off-piste through forest areas is prohibited. Slopes with insufficient snow are closed. Photovoltaic systems have also been installed on avalanche barriers and the base station of the 6-person chairlift to generate power.

Since 2007, Bellwald has been part of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Fürgangen-Bellwald train station is on the Matterhorn-Gotthard line. The cable car takes you directly from the train station up to Bellwald.
