The Arber is an ideal family ski area. With the large ArBär Kinderland, a parallel giant slalom for kids with double timekeeping, the Family Cross Park (Funslope), and a toboggan run, excellent family facilities have been created. The 6-seater Sonnenhang chairlift is specially designed for children. It automatically closes the safety bar and opens it automatically at the mountain station. The good value for money for families in the Bavarian Forest is also worth mentioning.

ArBär Kids’ Area

The ArBär Children's Area at Thurnhof offers optimal conditions for kids. Four magic carpets (conveyor belts) with lengths of 33 m, 87 m, 102 m, and even 126 m are located within the fenced ArBär Children's Area. Numerous easy slopes ensure the best learning success. The entrance to the children's area is right next to the sun terrace of the Thurnhofstüberl. The mascot is the ArBär. Ski rental, ski depot, and lounges for kids with child-friendly restrooms complete the excellent offering. There is a dedicated ski pass for the ArBär Children's Area, available for several hours or the whole day.

Family Cross Park (Funslope)

The Family Cross Park (Funslope) is designed for kids and teenagers and is located on the Thurnhofhang. Dangerous high jumps are avoided, focusing instead on fun wave tracks, banked turns, small jumps, and a parallel giant slalom course. Fun for the kids is guaranteed!

Arber Monster Slalom

The Arber Monster Slalom is located on the family slope between Thurnhof and Sonnenhang. It is a fun slalom course with amusing figures and a tunnel.

Toboggan Runs Arber

The 6-seater Sonnenhang chairlift takes you up to the start of the 1,200 m long toboggan run. The relatively flat and easy route leads to the Thurnhofstüberl. A free toboggan bus takes riders from the Thurnhofhang back to the Sonnenhang chairlift for further runs. You can also go tobogganing at the ArBär Kinderland. After riding up with two conveyor belts, you enter the lower section of the toboggan run.

Dwarves' Land

The Zwergenland is located at the Arbär-Kinderland and can only be used by booking one of the ski schools. Here, you can practice your first turns in the snow with a ski instructor in a relaxed atmosphere. A short conveyor belt is also available.
