Relatively far from the highwaysDescription Arabba/Marmolada
From Passo Campolongo, a detachable four-seater chairlift takes you up to Bec de Roces at just under 2,100 m, from where you can ski down to Arabba. To reach Alta Badia from Arabba, take the two detachable four-seater chairlifts Burz and Le Pale-Bec de Roces. The six-seater chairlift Arabba Fly brings you up to the lifts leading to Porta Vescovo. You can either go directly up to Porta Vescovo with the Funifor or take the double cable car Europa I and II.
If you get off at the mid-station, you can take the double chairlift Sas de la Vegle, enjoy an easy run, and then take the double chairlift Padon I up to Passo Padon (2,370 m), where you’ll have a stunning view of the mighty Marmolada. An intermediate run leads down to Passo Fedaia and directly to Malga Ciapela. From there, the cable cars start in three sections up to the Marmolada.
To return to Arabba, you need to cross over Fedaia Pass to the Bubble Padon, which brings you back to Passo Padon. After a short descent, take the four-seater chairlift Mesola and glide back to the mid-station of the Europa I+II cable car. From Porta Vescovo, challenging runs lead down to Arabba or over to the Fodom gondola, which takes you comfortably to Passo Pordoi (2,242 m). Here, the cable car starts steeply up to 2,950 m, the Sass Pordoi. There are no ski runs from the top. It is the starting point for ski tours into the Sella Group.
At Passo Pordoi itself, there are wide and well-graded runs. An easy run follows the pass road down into the Fassa Valley, and another run leads back to Arabba. Alternatively, you can take the Bubble Lezuo Belvedere into the Canazei/Fassa Valley ski area, where you’ll find many wide runs around the Belvedere lifts.
In Arabba alone, there are so many slopes and lifts that you can easily spend several days here. A highlight is, of course, the ski tour to the Marmolada and back, but you can also enjoy perfectly groomed slopes at Porta Vescovo.
