Best Ski-Resort 2018 - The Aletsch Arena is among the winners

Last season, the renowned study “Best Ski Resort” (Mountain Management in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck) surveyed 46,000 winter sports enthusiasts on the slopes of 55 selected top ski resorts in the Alps as to their satisfaction in over 20 categories. The results will be presented on 8 November 2018. More information to follow.

The lift companies from 4 Vallées, Portes du Soleil and the Aletsch Arena have renewed their partnership for the 2018–2019 winter season. Mini-Boardercross with Ski-Movie Bettmeralp

Upgrading of the skiline facilities on the Bettmeralp: another skiline course is being opened this winter beneath the middle station on the Blausee chairlift. It will include a mini-bordercross (“mixed race”) with a banked turn, small jumps, rollers and dips. Visitors using this course are filmed with a camera. They can later watch their own rides online using a ski data card.

New snowtubing run at Bättmer-Hitta

A snowtubing course especially for young visitors is being constructed this winter next to the Bättmer-Hitta restaurant.
Length of the course: around 250 metres
The new snowtubing run can be used free of charge. Its opening times are the same as the pistes provided there is enough snow. No booking is required. No minimum age limit.

New sledge run from Moosfluh to Riederalp/Bettmeralp

Aletsch Arena: Opening of a new sledge run from the Moosfluh mountain station (Gletscherbahn Moosfluh) on the Moosfluh, Blausee, Gopplerlücke and Moosfluh valley station route / connecting slope towards Bettmeralp.5.3 km of sledge fun - the use of the sledge run is free of charge, a valid ski pass or a single ticket is required. Renovation of Bergrestaurant Bettmerhorn

Bettmeralp Bahnen AG has been refurbishing the Bettmerhorn mountain restaurant over summer
2016, at the same time making improvements to the infrastructure, including the toilet facilities.
With these construction measures, Bettmeralp Bahnen AG is placing the focus on a higher quality of
restaurant service that involves a special mountain experience.

The mountain railways in the Aletsch Arena (Riederalp, Bettmeralp, Fiesch-Eggishorn) offer the new Aletsch + winter hiking pass from winter 2014/2015.
72 kilometres of prepared winter hiking trails are available in the family-friendly, car-free Aletsch Arena.
