The valley station of Champoluc is only about 30 km from the motorway exit in the Aosta Valley. From the large car park on the edge of the village, it’s about a 300 m walk to the valley station located among the houses of Champoluc. In Val di Gressoney, the parking spaces directly at the valley station are subject to a fee, while those on the other side of the river (well connected by a pedestrian bridge) are free of charge. The drive to Stafal from the motorway takes a good 45 minutes. The drive from the autostrada along the narrow road to Alagna takes a bit longer. There is no space for parking in the medieval village, so it’s a short walk from the car park to the lift.
