A six person gondola takes you from the valley up to the ski resort. There are only chair lifts (one of which is detachable) up in the ski resort itself. The chair lifts do not have weather protectors.

The runs are all located above 1,600 m altitude and can all benefit from snow-making. The ski route to the valley is only possible when there is sufficient natural snow.

The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The ski resort is accessed very quickly from the Sterzing exit on the Brenner expressway. During the ascent, you cross the Brenner expressway with the gondola.

Direction signs are only located at some of the mountain stations. Trail maps are only found at the mountain station of the gondola lift.

The Rosskopf practices soft tourism. They place high value on gentle slope preparation and snow-making. The ski huts use almost exclusively local products.

It is generally more calm on the Rosskopf. You can end your ski day on one of the sun terraces or at Biwak at the valley station.

There are no accommodations at the valley station. You can find accommodations in the village of Sterzing. It is also possible to stay at some of the huts in the ski resort such as the Sterzingerhaus or the Furl Huette.

The ski resort is very suitable for families and children because it is not so hectic here. There is a covered people mover at the mountain station. There is no children's area, but most of the runs are suitable for the whole family.

Beginners will find easy slopes at the Telfes four person chair lift. You can return to the gondola via an easy ski path. You can practice your first curves next to the people mover at the mountain station of the gondola lift.
