The ski resort of Špindlerův Mlýn is located in Krkonoše National Park. Very strict rules therefore apply to protect the environment from ski operations. Leaving marked pistes is strictly forbidden. Fences and cordons are also in place to prevent people from leaving the slopes. Waste is sorted and regional produce is served in the huts. The ski bus network in Špindlerův Mlýn is promoted and exemplary.
