Slope offering, variety of runs
There are two runs at the Hempelsberg lift. On the 1st run, intermediate level skiers and snowboarders have their fun due to the relatively steep gradient (length of 600m, altitude difference of 120m). Beginners, ski courses and ski schools enjoy themselves on the easy slopes at the Geiersberg lift (length of 500m, altitude difference of 70m). The slopes at the Hempelsberg lift are separated from the slopes at the Geiersberg lift by a main road.

Modern snow-making facilities enable a complete snow surface within a short period of time. A surface of 50 cm in depth on all slopes is possible within about 80 hours. There is no snow-making at the Geiersberg lift, so they are dependent on natural snow.
Worth knowing
- Artificial snow-making
7 Snow canons
35 % of the slopes have snow-making capabilities
- The valley run is always open when ski resort is open; without the valley run, ski operation is not possible.
The slope preparation is very good.
The 1st run at the Hempelsberg lift and the slopes at the Geiersberg lift are groomed well on a daily basis. The 2nd run at the Hempelsberg lift is groomed depending on the snow level.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
Free parking lots are located at the Hempelsberg lift. The ski lifts are located on either side of the main road. The nearest expressway is about 20 km away.
