Skiresort.info Test of the ski resort El Colorado-Farellones
Total result: 3.2 out of 5 stars

It is one hour by car from Santiago to Farellones, on the last miles it`s a mountain road with 40 turns. You have to keep to the left in Farellones to get to El Colorado (the same way as to La Parva !) but you can also start skiing El Colorado, because there are two t-bars taking you to the ski resort if you to leave your car here. The runs down to Farellones are mostly easy and wide. In Farellones there are also two more t-bars for beginners and very easy runs and a tubing park. In El Colorado, using the triple chair Pinguino or the t-bars Chico I and II you get to wide and easy runs.
The only lift that takes you to the peak of Cerro Colorado is the t-bar Corniso; you can reach it by using the double chair Cururo and the triple chair Leon. From the peak you can ski down to t-bar Corniso, up to Cerro Colorado and some expert runs down to the t-bar Cono Este. In case you keep to the left on the ski run Portezuelo, you will get to Valle Nevadoand the triple chair El Proado (Attention: you need an extra lift ticket!). The t-bar Cono Este is a
perfect place for experts when there is fresh powder and it also lifts you back to the paek of Cerro Colorado. From this point you can reach any place in the ski resort. A very good slope is the Km Lanzado run down to the top station of the t-bars Chico I and II. Another intermediate run leads to the t-bar Yaretas towards La Parva. Even though it looks as if
there is another connection with La Parva, we can tell you there isn´t so don´t keep on skiing when you have reached the base station of this lift. Another recommendable run is the intermediate one from Cerro Colorado to the triple chair Condor. There aren´t many possibilities to have lunch, you can either go to the
nice restaurant Mirador at the base station of the triple chair Leon or to the Base Station in El Colorado...
