Environmental protection of the ski resort Vogel – Bohinj

The Vogel ski resort is located in Triglav National Park, which is Slovenia’s only national park. Above Lake Bohinj, you can enjoy the wonderful natural surroundings. Due to its location within the national park, very strict regulations apply to ski operations, and the resort implements these consistently. For example, snowmaking is only used in exceptional cases and only in specific areas. The water for this purpose is taken from a specially constructed reservoir. In the ski huts, regional products are served. All waste is separated and transported down to the valley, where it is properly disposed of. The municipality of Bohinj is a member of Alpine Pearls and offers gentle, eco-friendly holidays in the Alps. The entire valley is served by ski buses, and the Bohinj Ski Train from Ljubljana encourages visitors to leave their cars behind with attractive package deals.
