The new 6-seater chairlift Aiguille Rouge replaces the aging 4-seater chairlift Aiguille Rouge. The new lift system offers a significant improvement on the connecting route from the Tignes 1800 area to Tignes 2100: there is more comfort, a much shorter travel time, and a higher transport capacity.
The valley station of the new 6-seater chairlift Aiguille Rouge remains approximately in the same location, while the mountain station is moved about 200 meters south towards the mountain station of the 6-seater chairlift Chaudannes.
