The Le Planolet ski area is located in the Chartreuse at the western edge of the French Alps, about a 45-minute drive from Grenoble and Chambéry. Families, beginners, and those returning to skiing especially enjoy the facilities at St. Pierre de Chartreuse. Le Planolet was long part of a larger ski area, but the connecting lifts were dismantled in 2025.
