To save the mountain road and the park entrance fee of 29 AU$ (as of 2023), you can take the Skitube from Bullocks Flat (bookable as an add-on to your ski pass) and travel through a 6.3 km long tunnel to Perisher Valley. From here, it’s just a few steps to the lifts and the first eight-seater chairlift in the Southern Hemisphere. The Skitube then continues underground to Blue Cow.
Here, you get off and can start skiing right away. A gentle slope leads down to the Summit Quad on Mt. Blue Cow. From the top, intermediate to advanced runs begin. The Terminal Quad Chair takes you back to the Blue Cow Skitube Terminal. From here, you can also glide over to Guthega via a connecting trail.
In Guthega, there is a four-seater chairlift, a double chairlift, and drag lifts. The runs are of intermediate difficulty. From the top station of the Freedom Quad Chair, you can ski back to Blue Cow.
To reach the detachable Pleasent Valley four-seater chairlift, you ski down easy runs. From the top station of this lift, you can take the Double Trouble runs (for advanced skiers only) back to Guthega or over to the Perisher Valley side to the Pretty Valley double chairlift via easy runs. From the top station, intermediate and easy runs lead down to Perisher Valley. Here, a dozen drag lifts operate, as well as the detachable eight-seater chairlift Village 8 Express for beginners, and the detachable four-seater chairlift Persiher Quad Express starts here, heading up to Back Perisher Mountain at 2014 m. Up here, there are many options to continue your ski day.
You can head back to Blue Cow, ski down to Perisher, or go over to the highest double chairlift in Australia, up Mt. Perisher to 2034 m. This double chairlift is accompanied by a triple chairlift almost to the summit.
Additionally, there are more drag lifts here. Intermediate to advanced runs lead down to the valley. The Leichhardt Quad Chair or the Happy Valley drag lift will take you back to the easy slopes of Perisher Valley/Front Valley.
To return to the Bullocks Flat parking lot with the Skitube, you can board here, or if you have time, take the Perisher Quad Express up again and then ski to Blue Cow and board the Skitube there.
