Description Panorama

From Invermere, it takes just under 30 minutes to drive up to the Panorama ski area. At the entrance to the resort, there are plenty of parking spaces available, and from there you can take the Village Gondola, a kind of open-air cable car, up to the lifts.

If you are staying in one of the lodges in Panorama Village, you check in at the Central Check-In and then drive your car to the lodge, where you can park in the underground garage. Around Panorama Mountain Village, there are the Discovery Quad chairlift, the Little Ripper Carpet, the Red Carpet, the Silver Platter platter lift, and the Toby Creek double chairlift, all of which are especially suitable for beginners.

With the detachable Mile 1 Quad chairlift and then the detachable Champagne Express quad chairlift, you head up towards the summit. From the top station of the Champagne Express, you can take a connecting trail to the Summit Quad chairlift, head into the Extreme Dream Zone, or ski down runs of all difficulty levels through wide forest glades back to Panorama Village or to the Sunbird triple chairlift, which ends a bit above the base station of the Champagne Express.

The runs through the Sun Bowl are highly recommended, as you’ll find everything your heart desires there—sun, moguls, tree runs, easy and challenging slopes. If you take the Summit Quad chairlift, you’ll reach the highest point in the ski area (2365 m) and enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains. From the summit, you can access the challenging runs in the Taynton Bowl via the Outback Ridge, plunge straight into the difficult runs of the Extreme Dream Zone, or take the View of 1000 Peaks run to reach more gladed runs (cleared tree runs) and eventually make your way back down to Panorama Village.

In the village itself, there are charming restaurants and bars, and you should definitely not miss a soak in the Panorama Spring Pools, where you can truly relax and enjoy the warm water after an exciting day on the slopes.

If you’re looking for the ultimate thrill, you can book a day of heliskiing with RK Heliskiing. The helicopters take off directly from Panorama Mountain Village.
