Ski lifts at the ski resort Kleine Scheidegg/Männlichen – Grindelwald/Wengen
Since the 2020/21 season, you can travel from the Grindelwald Terminal either directly up to the Eigergletscher with the Eiger Express (3-cable gondola) or up to Männlichen with the Männlichenbahn (10-person gondola). These two lifts are also known as the V-Bahn, as they branch out from the Grindelwald Terminal in a V-shape, providing direct access to both parts of the ski area. Waiting times and long journeys are now a thing of the past. Additionally, you can still take the cog railway from Grindelwald Grund to Kleine Scheidegg.
From Lauterbrunnen, the cog railway runs via Wengen up to Kleine Scheidegg. You should keep the train schedules in mind or carry a timetable, as the trains only run every 30 minutes.
Within the ski area itself, most slopes and runs are served by modern four- and six-seater chairlifts, some with weather protection covers. Practice lifts in Wengen, on Kleine Scheidegg, and at Männlichen complement the offerings for beginners and children.
The Jungfraubahn runs from Kleine Scheidegg and Eigergletscher through the Eiger and Mönch mountains up to the Jungfraujoch, home to the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 meters. The train covers almost 1,400 meters of elevation over a distance of 9.34 kilometers. A separate ticket is required for the journey to Jungfraujoch; this trip is not included in the ski pass.
