Nature and the environment are an important part of Skiworld Ahrntal. At Klausberg, regionality is a top priority. The mountain huts mostly use only products from the region or often even from their own production. In summer, the slopes become green meadows and alpine pastures grazed by livestock. Great importance is placed on the renaturation of the slopes at Klausberg. The Ahrntal is energy self-sufficient, and the production of green hydropower even exceeds the total consumption of the ski area, making Klausberg increasingly an energy supplier. The energy generated by operating the 10-seater gondola "K-Express" alone is stored and used for the complete operation of the Kristallalm. All new projects are carried out with the highest regard for environmental compatibility. With few slope machines, the "Snowsat" technology is used to groom the slopes with maximum efficiency. The ski buses in Tauferer Ahrntal are subsidized. At the valley station, you will find e-charging stations. Another goal is to make the ski area plastic-free.
