Hardly any parking spaces available, only one black slopeDescription Grächen
From St. Niklaus, a sometimes narrow and winding road branches off towards Grächen. This sunny village is located at about 1,600 meters above the Mattertal valley. From the village, a fairytale gondola lift takes you up to the Hannigalp, right into the ski area (the gondola lift to the Seetalhorn has been dismantled). On the Hannigalp, there are slopes especially for beginners at the Härdera I + II drag lifts as well as at the Paradiesli drag lift.
If you continue at the Paradiesli lift, you can branch off to the mid-station of the detachable four-seater chairlift Bärgji, or carve your way down a beautiful, challenging slope all the way to the Bärgji lift. This lift, with views of the Matterhorn peak, ends slightly above the Hannigalp.
To reach the Seetalhorn, take one of the two Furggen drag lifts and then follow a connecting trail to Stafel, where the detachable four-seater chairlift with weather protection hoods and a mid-station starts up to the Seetalhorn. Above the tree line, over impressive rocks, the four-seater chairlift leads up to the Seetalhorn. From the top, you can ski back down to Stafel on intermediate slopes, or head to the Plattja double chairlift. On the ascent back up to the Seetalhorn, you have a magnificent view of the mighty Ried Glacier. The runs above Stafel lead through bizarre rocky landscapes and are all very well maintained.
From the Hannigalp, the very well-groomed valley run leads down to Grächen. Shortly before the end of the run, a beautiful umbrella bar invites you to enjoy some après-ski.
