The Faqra ski resort is located about an hour's drive from Beirut on the edge of the Lebanon Mountains. Since 1974, several lifts have provided access to the slopes for skiing. In the Faqra winter sports area, there are also opportunities for tobogganing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
