At the many fixed-grip chairlifts, staff usually assist with boarding. The atmosphere in the restaurants (which are almost exclusively full-service) is generally extremely friendly, and among the ski instructors, most are those for whom the job is not just a profession but a way of life. The ski resorts in Espace Diamant are mostly traditional villages rather than purpose-built resorts, so many locals take on seasonal jobs here. This greatly enhances the atmosphere.
