Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows
Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Espace Diamant – Les Saisies/Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe/Praz sur Arly/Flumet/Crest-Voland
Despite its focus on families, Espace Diamant also has its rougher sides, and not all slopes are groomed flat – you’ll even find mogul runs! These include Ban Rouge in Praz sur Arly, Sapinière in Les Saisies, and Gueux Noire in Notre Dame de Bellecombe. Black runs can be found throughout the area, even on the backside of the otherwise gentle Mont Bisanne. Freeriders are drawn to the slopes along the ridge between La Légette and Ban Rouge. These are quite steep, lie above the tree line, and thanks to the resort’s clientele, they are not tracked out as quickly as in some of the more popular freeride destinations. Due to the sheer size of the area, you’ll also find a variety of off-piste opportunities below the highest zones. A highlight is the ungroomed Les Prés run on the southern side of Mont Vores.
- some freeride/deep snow areas
- few mogul slopes
