Advanced skiing, freeriding (powder snow skiing) Corvatsch/Furtschellas
The Corvatsch/Furtschellas ski area is a paradise for freeriders. There are endless wide, unsecured powder slopes, steep couloirs for experts, and cliff jumps for the truly brave. Thanks to the high altitude and many north-facing slopes, you can often find powder snow until the end of April. Advanced skiers will also find several black runs in the ski area. The legendary black Hahnenseeabfahrt leads down to St. Moritz Bad. The king’s run of the Engadin begins with wide, open steep slopes and ends in a snowy fairytale forest. From St. Moritz Bad, the Hahnenseeexpress ski bus runs regularly to the Corvatsch valley station in Surlej.
