Environmental protection of the ski resort Cortina d'Ampezzo

Free ski buses connect the ski areas in Cortina d'Ampezzo. Since 2009, the mountains around Cortina d'Ampezzo have been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The construction of new facilities and expansions is therefore almost impossible, as very strict environmental regulations must be observed. In the mountain huts, there is a focus on regional products and waste is separated.
