Cross-country skiing has a very long tradition in Cortina. There are scenic cross-country trails around Cortina d'Ampezzo. These are located a few kilometers from the Olympic town. The trails from Fiames Nordic Center to Toblach, at Passo Tre Croci, and in Misurina are particularly popular. Some of the trails are located within the Ampezzo Dolomites Nature Park and offer magnificent views of the Dolomites. Cortina is part of Dolomiti Nordicski.
