The new six-seater chairlift replaces the existing detachable 2-seater chairlift Gassen-Richenen (1st section) of Bellwald Sportbahnen AG. The new lift from Garaventa/Doppelmayr starts in Bellwald/Gassen and follows almost the same route up to the Fleschen station. For the Bellwald ski area, the new 6-seater chairlift represents a major leap in terms of quality and safety. The new lift will operate year-round, and every second chair is equipped with a weather protection hood. The photovoltaic system on the roof and facade of the valley station of the feeder lift covers a significant portion of the valley station's electricity needs.
