    Compared to other ski resorts in the Maritime Alps, this ski area is situated at a relatively high altitude. Most slopes can be covered with artificial snow. A snowmaking reservoir provides the necessary water supply, which can be refilled from the Tinée river in the valley. Auron has a long winter season, which usually lasts until the end of April.
