Hotel Masl was built as early as 1680. Today, the historic walls meet state-of-the-art architecture. The hotel has been run by the Messner family for four generations. What was once a South Tyrolean farmhouse and inn is now a 4-star hotel, where you can enjoy exclusive holiday luxury in its tradition-rich rooms. When arriving by car, you can park directly in the spacious underground garage. A free parking space is reserved for every room.

Hotel Masl is quietly located at the entrance to Vals. From the ski storage, you can go directly to the Tasa platter lift, which takes you straight into the Gitschberg Jochtal ski area. In the evening, you can ski right back to the hotel via an easy slope. It’s the perfect hotel for ski-in and ski-out. There is also a ski bus stop right in front of the hotel.

The alpine rooms and suites are furnished with plenty of wood and every imaginable luxury. Decorated with local woods, they exude traditional hotel romance as well as a classic-modern holiday flair. No wish is left unfulfilled here.

When it comes to wellness, Hotel Masl is at the forefront. In summer 2025, the hotel was generously expanded with new suites featuring private whirlpools and saunas. The new adults-only Wellness & Spa area offers a spacious indoor and outdoor pool in a nature-inspired design with an integrated hot whirlpool, an outdoor pool with bubble loungers, and a fire bowl. The sauna area leaves nothing to be desired. Of course, there is also a log cabin alpine sauna outdoors. The family water world offers indoor and outdoor pool areas, a whirlpool, and a 15-meter wide wave slide. Relaxation rooms with views of the surrounding mountains complete the offer.

Culinary delights abound at Hotel Masl. Start your day with a rich breakfast buffet. In the afternoon, enjoy a snack with a cake buffet and hearty dishes. In the evening, indulge in the gourmet half-board with dishes from South Tyrol and Italy. Salad, appetizer, and cheese buffets are, of course, included. Selected wines are stored in the vaulted wine cellar on the ground floor, and weekly wine tastings are offered.
