Environmental friendliness of the ski resort Perisher

Protection of the environment plays a very important role in the ski resort of Perisher. The winter sports resort is located in Kosciuszko National Park. Perisher works with the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service to protect local flora and fauna. Renewable energies are used for some lift operations and recycling programmes have been introduced. However, some old lifts are still powered by diesel engines.
