Slope offering, variety of runs
There are runs of all difficulty levels available. The varied runs lead over tree-free, wide slopes, but also through the forests in the lower area. There is something for everyone here. The 4 Peak ski area (Piz Mundaun, Hitzeggen, Stein and Piz Sezner) is very recommendable.

above tree line, under tree line
Worth knowing
- Public race course with time measurement
In addition to a modern 6 person chair lift with bubbles, there are four detachable lifts. In order to access the entire ski resort, you must ride on some 3 person chair lifts and older t-bar lifts.

There is 100% snow-making capability on the connection from Obersaxen to Val Lumnezia and on one run from Stein. Otherwise, snow is made on select valley runs. Snow-making is not done on a large portion of slopes that are reliant upon natural snow.
Worth knowing
- Artificial snow-making
276 Snow canons
20 % of the slopes have snow-making capabilities
- The valley run is open most of the time.
The slope preparation is very good.
Tip: By new snow, an optimal slope prepartion is not always possible, even with a large effort. In addition, the new snow can not combine with the snow lying underneath and moguls are created quickly. For safety reasons, usually no slope preparation is possible during operating times.
The nearest expressway is about 30 km away. There is usually sufficient free parking at all of the valley stations.

Orientation (trail map, information boards, sign-postings)
Trail map and overview maps:
The trail map depicts the Obersaxen ski resort very well. All lifts, slopes, prices, some restaurants and other information are included. It would be helpful if the names of the slopes and specific lift information could be added.
Information boards and sign-postings on the slopes:
The sign-posting is good and it is easy to find your way. More sign-postings at some of the intersections would be helpful.

It is generally more of a calm atmosphere in Obersaxen and Val Lumnezia. There are nice places for a little Après Ski on the valley runs, such as the Tegia-Bar or the Wisis Puera-Bar. Otherwise, you can end your ski day on one of the sun terraces.

In Valla, Valata Kartitscha and on Chummenbuehl, there are lifts and children's areas for the children. The ski resort is generally very family and child friendly.
Information for families and children
- Kid's Land/ separated area for children
- Beginner's lifts near the valley
- Beginner's lifts in ski resort directly at the feeder lift
There is a practice lift or an easy run at all valley stations. Beginners can therefore ski almost the entire ski area. However, the connection between Val Lumnezia and Obersaxen is not suited for beginners. The runs on Piz Sezner are recommendable, but can only be accessed by taking the chair lift from Stein down towards the valley - it's worth it though.
