The Apex Mountain Resort is about 31 km from Pentincton into the mountains embedded. The smaller ski area (only 2 chair lifts) offers however for each something - from easy runs through the forest up to very heavy and steep runs. From the parking lot you can take the t-bar up, or you can slide over a very light run down to the high speed quad Quickdraw Express and far up to the triple chair Stock's Chair. With the Quickdraw Express you arrive very fast at the summit, of where you can achieve all slopes in the resort. Very recommend are the heavy runs for advanced skiers and riders on the right side of the lift, which all can be attained by the easy slope "Grandfathers Trail" and all the black runs finish at the"Grandfather's Trail". Further heavy runs, e.g. Tooth/Dusk and Sweet Sue lead from the summit on the left side down to the top station of the triple chair. At the triple chair Stock's Chair you find mostly easy to intermediate and broad forest slopes. In Apex almost all runs are through the forest, with exception of the runs at the summit of the Beaconsfield Mountain, since the forest begins about only 50 meters underneath the summit. Night skiing exclusively takes place at the t-bar, where you find mostly intermediate runs. Also snowbaorder come to the halfpipe and in the terrain park by taking the t-bar. For beginners is another t-bar near the parking lot, which serves a very easy run. Also
for non-skier is a tubing park available with own t-bar and there is also an ice skate place near the parking lots.
