Evaluated by Skiresort.info, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts.
The evaluation is done as follows
Ski resort size Zermatt/Breuil-Cervinia/Valtournenche – Matterhorn
The cross-border ski area at the foot of the Matterhorn is the highest ski area in the Alps and is among the largest ski areas in the world. In Switzerland, the ski area starts in Zermatt, and in Italy in Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche. The slopes in Switzerland stretch from Rothorn, via Hohtälli and Gornergrat, all the way to Klein Matterhorn (3,883 m). In Italy, the slopes extend from Theodulpass (Colle del Theodulo) over the Cime Bianchi to Plan Maison and Salette. All slopes are directly connected to each other. The Swiss section is slightly larger than the Italian section. On the Theodul Glacier, skiing is possible all year round.
