There are no cross-country trails directly in Zermatt. The nearest trails are located in Täsch and Randa. Täsch can be reached by train in about 12 minutes.
In Breuil-Cervinia (2050 m), there is a 3 km long, easy circular trail. It is located at the entrance to the village and is very snow-sure due to its high altitude. In the Champlève district (1524 m) of the municipality of Valtournenche, there is a 4.8 km long, intermediate circular trail.
