Environmental protection of the ski resort Vals – Dachberg
Away from the major centers, Vals practices gentle tourism. For the sake of the environment, not all slopes are always groomed. Free buses run from Ilanz and Vals to the ski area for skiers and snowboarders. The wastewater from the toilets at the Dachberg ski lift is transported down to the valley in tanks.

The nearest train station is in Ilanz, about 22 km away. A PostBus line operates to Vals. - Ski buses
- Scheduled buses
- Vals has its own local bus. The local bus to the valley station, back to the village center, and within the village is free of charge. For skiers, the Ilanz-Vals-Ilanz PostBus line is also free.
