The Vals ski area is located in the Valsertal and is best reached in winter via the greater Chur area. From the Reichenau/Disentis exit of the A13 St. Margrethen-Bellinzona motorway, a well-developed road leads through the valley to Ilanz and then a mountain road to the mountain village of Vals. At the end of Vals, the gondola lift to the ski area starts. Parking is free with the purchase of a ski pass. Winter Closure
