Access, Parking Tignes/​Val d'Isère

The Tignes/Val d'Isère ski resort is located in the French Alps in the Vanoise National Park in Savoie. In winter, the only access is via Albertville-Moûtiers-Bourg-Saint-Maurice. A mountain road leads from Bourg Saint Maurice up to the ski resort. Day visitors can access Tignes Les Brévières at 1,550 metres. The road continues to the dam on the “Lac du Chevril”. At the dam, it turns left to Val d'Isère or right over the dam to Tignes. In Tignes and Val d'Isère, parking is in payable multi-storey car parks.

Winter Closure

In winter, the only access is from the north via Albertville Moûtiers-Bourg Saint Maurice. The following passes are closed in winter: Col de l’Iseran (end of the road in Val d´Isère Le Fornet), Col du Petit Saint-Bernard (German: Kleiner Sankt Bernhard; Italian: Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo), Cormet de Roselend
