    The Schilthorn ski area offers many attractive accommodations in the car-free mountain village of Mürren (1,638 m). Mürren is situated on a high plateau and features a charming character with its dark wooden chalets and magnificent views of the Bernese Alps. The mountain village is accessible by cable car from Stechelberg. Some hotels and holiday apartments are located directly on the slopes. In the mountain village of Gimmelwald (1,367 m), there are several more accommodations along the Stechelberg-Gimmelwald-Mürren cable car. In the valley in Lauterbrunnen (796 m), some accommodations are located right next to the cable car to Grütschalp. From Grütschalp, you can take the narrow-gauge railway to the ski area.
