The village of Wengen is car-free and can only be reached by cog railway from Lauterbrunnen. Ski buses and trains operate in the valley. The cog railway plays a major role and provides connections from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen to the ski area.

From Lauterbrunnen station, the cog railway travels via Wengen up to Kleine Scheidegg. Travel to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen is via Interlaken Ost station.
