The evaluation is done as follows
Beginners Kleine Scheidegg/Männlichen – Grindelwald/Wengen
Grindelwald and Wengen offer ideal conditions for beginners. Directly below the Kleine Scheidegg (easily accessible from Grindelwald and Wengen by cog railway), there is the large Beginner's Park Kleine Scheidegg with a covered conveyor belt and rope tows. On the Männlichen (easily accessible from Grindelwald and Wengen by cable car), beginners can practice their first turns at two practice lifts and a conveyor belt in the Kinderparadies Männlichen. Right in Wengen, there is a beginner area with two rope tows. The Swiss Ski and Snowboard School Wengen operates its own beginner area with conveyor belts. From the Kleine Scheidegg, several easy slopes lead down via Alpiglen and Brandegg all the way to Grindelwald. These are very long and easy for beginners to manage. In the direction of Wengen, beginners will find ideal slopes up to the Wengernalm. Further down towards Wengen, the slope becomes intermediate, and beginners should take the cog railway back to the valley. On the Männlichen, beginners will find two easy slopes at the Läger and Männlichen four-seater chairlifts. One of them is the Wasserwendi Slow-Slope (a special slope for slow skiing). The valley run from Männlichen to Grindelwald is not recommended for beginners.
