The Kleine Scheidegg/Männlichen ski area is the largest ski resort in the Bernese Oberland and the Jungfrau Region. While skiing, you can enjoy the spectacular panorama of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage Site). From Grindelwald, a cog railway leads to Kleine Scheidegg, a modern 3S cableway to the Eigergletscher, and a gondola lift to Männlichen. With the opening of the Grindelwald Terminal and the most modern 3S cableway in the Alps, you can reach the slopes in the Jungfrau Ski Region from Grindelwald in just 15 minutes.

The car-free mountain village of Wengen is a popular ski resort with many accommodation options. Wengen can be reached by cog railway from Lauterbrunnen. From Wengen, you can take the aerial cableway to Männlichen or the cog railway to Kleine Scheidegg. The winter sports area offers perfectly groomed slopes, a sophisticated snowmaking system, and modern chairlifts.

The Jungfrau Railway runs from the Kleine Scheidegg station and the Eigergletscher station through the Eiger and Mönch up to the Jungfraujoch, home to the highest railway station in Europe at 3,454 m (Top of Europe). Here you’ll find the Sphinx Observatory at 3,571 m, the highest and most distinctive building on the Jungfraujoch. From up here, you have a magnificent view over the Aletsch Glacier and the Bernese Oberland. In good visibility, you can even see as far as the Vosges and the Black Forest. There are no ski slopes starting from the Jungfraujoch, so you take the cog railway back down to the valley.

Winter hiking trails, toboggan runs, and excellent childcare complete the range of offerings in Grindelwald and Wengen.
