    In the Hoch-Ybrig ski area, great care is taken to protect the environment. The slopes are only opened when there is sufficient natural snow. The valley runs are located in nature reserves with nationally protected high and low moorlands. Therefore, artificial snowmaking is not possible there. The forest areas should not be skied on.
