Accommodation at the Grandvalira ski area can be found in Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, and Pas de la Casa. Encamp is the closest to Spain and the capital, Andorra la Vella. The Funicamp (funitel gondola) starts here, but there is no valley run. Canillo is a peaceful mountain village with a gondola, but also without a valley run. El Tarter, Soldeu, Grau Roig, and Pas de la Casa are located directly at the ski area. El Tarter is also a charming mountain village. Soldeu offers a wide range of high-quality hotels, including 4- and 5-star hotels right on the slopes. Grau Roig does not have a real village and offers only a few accommodations. Pas de la Casa is located right on the French border and offers a wide range of accommodation and shopping opportunities. The capital of Andorra, Andorra la Vella, is about 6 km from Encamp and also offers attractive accommodation, especially if you want to visit the other two Andorran ski areas in Vallnord. The Pyrenean state of Andorra is also known for its shopping opportunities.
